Most of this Kootenay–Lake website is organized topically with separate pages for each phenomenon or species. As such, there is a separate page for, say, rainbows, beach cusps, ospreys, elk, and moths.

In the galleries, below, content cuts across many of those other categories. Although most of the material is merely duplicated from elsewhere on the site, the galleries have a markedly different arrangement and presentation.
